Rebecca will be presenting the webinar: ‘Caring for the older horse: using research into owners’ and vets’ experiences to improve older horse’

Talk Equine, with The Horse Trust, are welcoming back Dr Rebecca Smith who will report on her 3-year qualitative study which included interviews with owners and vets who had experience of caring for an older horse. Rebecca will discuss how vet-owner interactions shaped the vet’s role in horse care and how ethically challenging situations can arise when caring for the older horse. Rebecca will report her findings and their potential to help vets and owners better provide care for horses as they age.
