What We Do
Learn more about all of our residents we have living with us at The Horse Trust! Retired from The Army, Police and Royal Mews as well as those who have been rescued from neglect and abuse, every single horse, pony and donkey has an amazing story to tell.
Visiting the Home of Rest
Our Home of Rest for Horses is the heart of our charity. Here you can visit us and meet some of our many residents, learn about our history and find out how we helped War Horses in World War 1. Sefton's Barn, a beautiful Grade II listed Tithe Barn is also available to hire for functions and weddings.
Professional Training Courses
The Horse Trust Knowledge and Skills team are committed to providing high quality, practical and experiential training and education in equine welfare, aimed at organisations and individuals that are involved in protecting and promoting the well-being of equines in the UK.
Research and Grants
The Horse Trust has funded a vast amount of research through key universities, veterinary schools and the Animal Health Trust in order to establish an evidence base for best practice in caring for horses. Click here to find out more about our research and grant programme.
