Cloud joins after serving at The Royal Mews

Cloud is an absolute beauty. This 22 year old mare served at the Royal Mews for many years before spending some time at Hampton Court as a broodmare.

One of her daughters, Claudia, is still a star of the Windsor Greys and on many occasions, the mother and daughter team were paired together as either outriders or the postilion team for HM The Queen’s carriage as they matched each other in look and temperament so closely.

Cloud became such an expert in her work that she was often used to help young horses settle in as well as to teach new staff members.

This gentle lady has been as much an equine civil servant as our other two recent retirees as the Royal Mews horses belong to the State, not the Royal Family. We are thrilled this gentle lady will now be passing her later years with us.
