Horses, Hounds & Heroes
We’re so excited for our annual Summer fundraising event, Horses, Hounds and Heroes which is taking place on Sunday 19 June. Gates open at 12.00 and the event will run until 17.00. We’ve compiled all the important information you need for the day.
Tickets on the Day
Please note tickets are no longer available to purchase online. Tickets will be available to purchase on the gate on the day. Prices are £10 per adult and £5 per concession (child 3-15, senior 65+ or disabled adults and children). If you have purchased tickets in advance online and are collecting your tickets on the day please bring your email confirmation with you.
Event programmes will be available to purchase on the day for £3 from The Horse Trust stand in front of the main arches. Pre-purchased programmes can be collected from here also, please bring with you your proof of purchase.

14.00 – Defence Animal Training Regiment (DATR) – Military Working Dogs
14.30 – The Horse Trust Rehabilitation & Rehoming
15.00 – Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment (HCMR) – drills, training and meet the Drum Horse
15.30 – Falconry Display
15.45 – Metropolitan Police Activity Ride – Recruit Ride
16.10 – Retirement of Lochearn a Metropolitan Police Horse to The Horse Trust
16.30 – The Horse Trust Parade of Horses (in front of the Archway)
Other Activities
The Dog Show run by our friends at Stokenchurch Dog Rescue. Classes include; Rescued Rascals, Charming Chaps, Lovely Lassies, Puppy Love, Golden Oldies, Waggiest Tail and of course Best in Show. Classes can be entered on the day for £2 per class. Please note this is cash only.
Cheer on your favourite ferret in our ferret racing on the yard
See magnificent birds of prey in the Falconry area outside the Black Beauty Tea Room
Pony rides will be available at a small extra cost for children on the day
Carriage rides run by T Cribb & Sons will take visitors on a beautiful ride for £5
Learn about the anatomy of a horse with our brilliant Horse Painting in the grooming area on the yard
Enjoy our singer, Fiona Harrison who will be performing an array of songs outside Sefton’s Barn
Enter our free Father’s Day Prize Draw to win a day off-road driving with the Anglian Rover Owners Club Ltd. To enter just visit The Horse Trust stand in front of the archway and provide your contact details
Visit our Estate Foreman, Jon who is spending the day in a bath of sugar beet horse feed to raise money for a new poo picker! Jon will be located under the main archway leading to the yard

Getting Here
We will have a one-way system in place on the day. Please follow our Horses, Hounds and Heroes road signs and allow extra time for arrival. Parking attendants will direct you to your parking location once you arrive at the site.
Food & Drink
There will be a number of food and drink stands available on the day for visitors to purchase lunch. We will also be selling our usual cream teas and cakes in Sefton’s Barn for visitors to enjoy.
One Final Note
We will have a number of card machines available around the site on the day. However there will be some activities that are cash only. If you are able to bring cash on the day it would be greatly appreciated.
