The Horse Trust celebrates 130 years in the presence of our Patron HRH The Princess Royal
For 130 years our Home of Rest for Horses has specialised in providing retirement and respite for working horses and ponies. These hard-working equine public servants have served our nation in the Police, the Army or with charities which use horses to help people. We also provide sanctuary to horses, ponies and donkeys who have suffered from cruelty or neglect and who are in desperate need of specialist treatment and care.
The Horse Trust’s 130th Anniversary was celebrated with two important themes; Looking Backwards, celebrating The Horse Trust’s past and Looking Forward announcing the projects that will shape The Horse Trust’s Future. As part of our review of the past, a parade took place showcasing how The Horse Trust has advanced over the years to what it is today.
It was such a great day here at The Home of Rest, and we would like to thank our Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, our Trustees, Supporters, Sponsors and of course all our partners for their continued support to our organisation.
If you want to find out what we got up to then why not purchase The Horse Trust’s 130th Celebration CD. 130th CD Image for Homepage This exclusive CD captures all the professional footage and video clips from behind the scenes on the day of celebration that was attended by our Patron HRH The Princess Royal.
