Rose came to us from the RSPCA. She was suffering from severely overgrown hooves, obesity and laminitis. Laminitis is very a painful and crippling disease that could potentially prove fatal.

Horses, ponies and donkey’s that have suffered from laminitis are prone to suffering from the condition again so need careful management. Here at The Horse Trust, all our horses, ponies and donkeys are weighed regularly. This helps us to monitor and adjust their diets as necessary so we can avoid illnesses such as laminitis.

Rose responded well to the care and treatment she received and is now a happy and healthy pony who you will often find hanging out with best friend Piglet!
