LONDONDERRY

Londonderry is a gorgeous 16.3hh grey mare, bred and owned by The Royal Mews. After a wonderful career during which time she took part in all major state occasions including State Visits, State Openings of Parliament and Trooping the Colour, it was decided that Londonderry would benefit from a quieter life here in the Chiltern Hills.

Londonderry is retiring to us due to lameness after many years of working. We are delighted to give such a gentle soul a special place at our Home of Rest. Londonderry has touched many hearts with her caring nature and enjoys nothing more than a chin scratch and a cuddle. She has developed a close bond with fellow retiree Grace, formerly of the MET, who also joined us in 2022. They can often be found together mutual grooming or on the yard greeting visitors on our open days.
