Learning on the blink: Novel physiological predictors of learning and cognition in horses

This webinar will take you through the story of Louise’s PhD project, which investigates how individual learning ability in horses can be predicted using novel physiological methods. Louise will explain how they put a group of horses through a series of cognitive tasks in order to answer important questions about equine learning. You’ll learn about a ‘blinking interesting’ method of measuring brain processes, watch horses play Simon Says, and hear how a group of horses were able to outsmart the researchers! Louise will share her exciting new results and discuss how their findings can be applied to horse training, management and welfare.
