Action4Youth are supporting The Horse Trust for their ‘Wendover Woods 20K Sponsored Walk’
The Horse Trust really do appreciate how generous all the team at Action4Youth are in giving up their time to help us. Every summer they bring students to help us around the yard as well as teaming together and coming up with fundraising ideas to raise money for all the residents here at The Home of Rest for Horses.
Action4Youth is the leading coordinating body for voluntary organisations that work with children and young people in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. National Citizen Service (NCS) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that helps you build your skills for work and life, while you take on new challenges and meet new friends.
This year the group of 15-17 year olds are taking part in the ‘Wendover Woods 20K Sponsored Walk’ to raise money for all our residents here at The Horse Trust.
Dean, who is a part of the team said, ‘the money that we raise will be used to prolong the lives of ex-service horses during retirement. In some cases they take in, and care for, abused and neglected horses from the RSPCA. They do wonders for all of the horses that are under their care. Check out their Facebook page to find out more about the beautiful horses that they have helped over the years.’
We can’t thank them enough for all their fundraising efforts, so please support them and us by donating to their Just Giving Page.
All the team here at The Horse Trust wish them good luck and thanks again for all your hard work.
