Welcome, Dinky!
We are delighted to welcome new resident, former The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery wheeler, Dinky!
Dinky retires to us after a magnificent 13 years serving in The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery (KTRHA), as a wheeler in D Sub-Section’s gun team. He took part in many grand events including; The Queen’s Birthday Parades, Royal Salutes in Hyde Park and The Green Park, State Visits and The Queen’s Life Guard. Dinky also participated in the incredible Musical Drive of The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and Royal Welsh Show.
Dinky also enjoyed extra-curricular activities such as hunting, tent pegging and Pony Club Games. He also has a claim to fame as he participated in the filming of the Downtown Abbey movie!
Dinky retires to us at the age of 17, due to lameness. As his name suggests he isn’t the tallest of our military residents, standing at 15.2hh.
We are excited to welcome our newest resident and look forward to getting to know him more. Follow us on our Facebook page to keep up to date with Dinky and all our other residents! You can view Dinky’s full profile here.
