The Horse Trust launches new rehoming scheme
Today we are launching a new horse rehoming scheme on our website. Although our main purpose as a charity is to provide a peaceful retirement for the UK’s service horses, we also provide care for local rescue cases that are referred to us through other organisations such as the RSPCA. These horses are often much younger than our retired residents and are able to undertake some active work such as riding or driving.
We are currently looking for homes for four of our rescued horses; Starlight, Maggie, Tilly and Squiggy. All four are young horses who have begun their ridden or driven work and are now ready to start life in a new home.
We seek long term, loving homes for our horses and look to rehome our horses to the best home available rather than on a first come, first serve basis. If you think you can provide a suitable home for one of our rescued horses and ponies, please visit our horse rehoming scheme introduction page and complete an online application form.
