Supporters helped us raise almost £27,000 at our summer event, Horses, Hounds & Heroes last week!
The Horse Trust team are proud to announce that our fundraising event raised just under £27,000 on Sunday!
On the day we had amazing performances by the Light Cavalry and Metropolitan Police in our outdoor arena, we hope you managed to catch the show. You might have spotted our estate foreman Jon Taylor riding along with the Light Cavalry! We also had an impressive dog agility show and BARTA showed off their horse rescue skills and got the crowd involved!
Despite the hot weather leading to the cancellation of the falconry display and dog show, Stokenchurch Dog Rescue held a virtual dog show. Visitors could submit photos of their precious pooch to be judged, and the winners have been announced here! If you’re in a first place position please get in touch with Stokenchurch Dog Rescue to claim your prize.
The tractor rides were a huge hit, which we couldn’t have offered without Edward from C&M Pitcher for lending us the tractor carriage for the day. We also had a complete sell-out on our BBQ and were joined by the Aylesbury Uke Jam group, who volunteered their time, and the Glee Choir club who performed popular songs for us all.
We were also joined by Westways Carriage Horses, who volunteered their time and resources to provide our visitors with carriage rides down our drive with their two stunning black horses, along with a beautiful carriage, to raise money for us!
It was an impressive turnout, a beautiful day all round and we’re so grateful to everyone who came along and spent money on the activities, food, drink and games on the day. So much careful planning goes into this event every year by our team, and when we achieve such a great turnout it makes it all worthwhile!
We would once again like to thank sponsors of the day Savills Beaconsfield and Grant & Stone for their support, to all our volunteers who we couldn’t have been without, and a HUGE thank you everyone who showed up for us and got involved to make it such a great day – we had a blast, and we hope you did too!
