Thank You for a Spectacular Day at Horses, Hounds and Heroes 2024!
We are thrilled to announce that our annual fundraising event on Sunday raised £35,000!
The day was filled with fantastic performances in our outdoor arena, including impressive displays by the Metropolitan Police, and Horse Rangers Association (HRA) who kindly volunteered their time to us. The War Horse Medieval display and the Light Cavalry performance was a hit, and British Animal Rescue and Trauma Response (BARTA)’s horse rescue demonstration, which engaged the crowd, was a highlight of the day. We were overjoyed to welcome the wonderful and newly retired Metropolitan Police Horse, Oliver, as part of our arena display finale.
We were thankful this year for the beautiful weather, sunny yet friendly to our four-legged friends. The Dog Show was thoroughly enjoyable for everyone involved, and the competition incredibly tough this year. The judges finally managed to pick a selection of wonderful winners, all of whom walked away with wagging tails, proudly displaying beautiful green rosettes!
Tractor rides were immensely popular thanks to Horse Trust Estate Manager, David. Our BBQ was a complete sell-out, and we were serenaded by Sophie Henderson Music followed by Hemley Hillbillies, who performed in Sefton’s Lawn.
A special thank you to T Cribb & Sons for providing beautiful carriage rides with their stunning black Friesian horses, raising additional funds for our cause. Not forgetting the wonderful Legion of Frontiersmen, who volunteered their time to assist where needed.
We had an impressive turnout and a beautiful day all around. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to the activities, food, drink, and games. The dedication and meticulous planning of our team are rewarded when we see such a great turnout and enthusiastic participation.
We extend our gratitude to the amazing volunteer photographers, Hayley George and Mick Wass. You will soon be able to see their photos on our Facebook page.
A huge thank you to our sponsors, Savills Beaconsfield, for their support. We also extend our gratitude to all the team members and volunteers who made the event possible – we couldn’t have done it without you. Last and certainly not least, thank you to everyone who came out and got involved, making it a fantastic day – we had a blast, and we hope you did too!
