Roman Retired
Roman is a handsome Irish Draught cross who served with the Cleveland Mounted Section for 6 years before arriving at The Horse Trust in January 2014. Roman retired alongside his friend’s Alf, Joey and Reg following the closure of the Cleveland Police Mounted Section.
Day-to-day duties in the Cleveland area for Roman included, daily patrols and policing many football matches at Middlesbrough FC. In the summer of 2012, Roman helped police the London Olympic Games at the Olympic Park.
Roman is full of character! He has been known to nip and grab clothing and will sometimes nip his grooms bums when his feet are being picked out!
Due to an injury, Roman was no longer suitable for police work which is why he came to The Horse Trust for retirement.
