Perrine’s Story
Perrine is a gentle, sweet-natured mare who spent eight dedicated years serving in the Kennet Valley Driving Group, a branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). During her time there, she made an incredible impact, helping countless adults with disabilities learn the skill and joy of carriage driving. With her calm presence and patient spirit, Perrine became a steadfast partner for each of her drivers, giving them not only a sense of achievement but also a feeling of freedom and independence. Her dedication was truly inspiring, and her gentle but determined nature made her a cherished member of the RDA team.
Since her retirement in September 2018, Perrine has adjusted beautifully to the relaxed pace of retired life here. She’s discovered a new love for long grooming sessions and enjoys nothing more than the attention and pampering she so richly deserves. Perrine’s favourite moments are spent basking in gentle scratches and affection from our team and visitors, who are always drawn to her warmth and kindness.
With a bit of a tendency to carry extra weight, Perrine is watched over closely by our dedicated team. Her care is meticulously managed to keep her in top condition, ensuring she stays healthy and comfortable throughout her golden years. Thanks to this attention and her own sweet spirit, Perrine is thriving in retirement, bringing joy to all who spend time with her.
