ORCADIA

Orcadia arrived at The Horse Trust in 2019 following 14 years’ service, firstly with Strathclyde Police and then continued with Police Scotland when the 8 Scottish forces merged.

Also known as Jester, Orcadia carried out all police duties to the highest standard but due to his bravery he particularly excelled in football crowd control and public order duties. Orcadia is a true gentleman, and was often paired with younger, less experienced horses to show them the ropes! When he wasn’t taking part in special occasions such as the G8 summit in 2005, he enjoyed visiting local schools and community events where the children nicknamed him “Mr Brown”.
