KATHLEEN

Kathleen was a fully operational police horse which involved crime patrols, high profile sporting events, demonstrations, and the world famous activity ride.

Unfortunately she developed behavioural changes and was moved, hoping a spell away from Central London would help restore her confidence. Sadly, this was unsuccessful and she was deemed unsuitable for operational duty. Kathleen was then transferred to Imber Court Mounted Training Establishment to help train mounted police officers which suited her for a short period of time, but unfortunately her behaviour began to deteriorate again and so the decision was made to retire her to The Horse Trust aged 17.
