El-Alamein fondly known as ‘Chicken’ or Chicken Chow Mein has been a DATR Rider used as a Regimental Riding Instructors Course horse for developing future Military Riding Instructors.
As well as a course horse, El-Alamein was a competition horse competing at Royal Windsor Horse Show and The Royal Tournament. He also qualified for Olympia Horse of the Year Show.
