DUKE
Duke Before
Duke After
Duke was rescued from the horrors of Spindles Farm, Amersham where over 100 horses, ponies and donkeys were found in the most appalling conditions. He was only 2 years old and was very sick, emaciated and suffering from life-threatening infections.
After intensive veterinary treatment and care, he began to improve, but sadly developed sarcoids on his eye and needed specialist treatment at the University of Liverpool’s Equine Hospital. This was successful, but poor Duke then began to suffer recurring bouts of colic and needed life-saving surgery at The Royal Veterinary College.
This beautiful horse has been through so much, but thanks to his incredible spirit, specialist treatment given at The Horse Trust and the generosity of the public, he has overcome every ordeal and now lives happily here with us and all his pals.
