Horses, Hounds and Heroes
After a two-year gap due to Covid-19, our biggest annual fundraising event of the year returned with a bang! We are pleased to announce that our Horses, Hounds and Heroes event here at The Horse Trust on 19th June was a huge success, raising a whopping £28,000! It was great to get the local community back together once again and to see so many old and new faces.
Crowds flocked to The Horse Trust to join us for our family fun day on Father’s Day last month. Highlights of the day included our Main Arena events, with amazing displays by the Household Cavalry and the Metropolitan Police, fun and informative shows by British Animal Rescue and Trauma Care Association (BARTA), our very own Rehabilitation and Rehoming by The Horse Trust and the Defence Animal Training Regiment, with their Military working dogs display.
Activities such as pony rides, carriage rides, face painting, falconry, the dog show and ferret racing were very popular on the day, so were the many Emergency Services and off-road vehicles on display. Plenty of fun, food and drinks were had by everyone, and a general sense of excitement and community was felt across our team and the public as we have been able to get back together again!
We would like to extend a huge thank you to those that attended and made the day a successful and positive event for The Horse Trust.
