Gozza Retired
Captain Greatgun, commonly known as ‘Gozza’, served the whole of his working life in London, initially with The Household Division, before transferring across to the King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery.
He led a full and successful career at the Troop where he was used on all State and Ceremonial occasions as well as performing in the Musical Drive as an Officer’s Charger.
After 10 years of faithful service Gozza had to retire early from military life due to some veterinary issues. His last parade was in front of HM The Queen for Her 90th Birthday in May 2016.
After this he spent an extended period of time receiving veterinary treatment at the Royal Army Veterinary Corps’, Defence Animal Centre before being retired to The Horse Trust.
