We are deeply grateful to the Society of Equestrian Artists for selecting The Horse Trust…
Success for The Horse Trust at the Royal Windsor Horse Show 2014
This was our first year attending The Royal Windsor Horse Show 2014, a truly international event in a beautiful setting, in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Over the 5 days the programme includes International Show Jumping, International Dressage, International Carriage Driving Grand Prix and an International Endurance Competition.

In addition there are over 100 showing classes, displays from The Household Cavalry and The Kings Troop, Pony Club Mounted Games, The Shetland Pony Grand National and other ridden Military competitions.
The Trust were delighted to attend such a prestigious event. We had a fabulous location by the Copper Horse Arena and next to one of the Carriage Driving Obstacles for the Marathon held on the Saturday. We were able to watch many of the classes held in here and watched HM The Queens spectating as her horses competed and HRH Prince Phillip driving his carriage. Unusually the weather remained glorious throughout!
One of our loan ponies Joey who is based with the Horse Rangers, was competing in this arena and he came 2nd in the RDA Fancy Dress Class. It was great to see him looking so well.
We took Star and Rocky, 2 of our rescue ponies with us to the Royal Windsor Horse Show. They were impeccably behaved and welcomed hundreds of visitors to our stand. Their on site stabling was generously supplied by Woodhouse, and their grass pen fenced for us by Colin Rayner of Rayner Farms Ltd.
We were thrilled to see so many familiar supporters and to meet so many new faces at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. It was also exciting to greet some famous visitors to the stand, Carl Hester MBE (GB Olympic Gold Medallist – pictured on the top banner) & Tim Wonnacott from the BBC Antiques Road Show (pictured left) no less.
Our amazing volunteers worked tirelessly and we are truly grateful for all their efforts. We could never have managed without them. A free prize draw was extremely popular and we received over 580 entries. The lucky winners will be treated to a VIP tour of the Royal Mews, and the runner up will receive a fantastic Stormtech jacket generously donated by TechClothing.co.uk. Our merchandise and badge making were extremely popular and we seem to have gained lots of new support.
Thank you to everyone who made a donation to us at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and thank you. Thank you to Maxima Equestrian, Waitrose Customer Services, Emma Taylor from The Bay Horse Speaks, Apollo Photography, and The Household Cavalry Foundation.
Our Horse Hounds and Heroes Event on 8th June 2014 will be our next event please come along for a fabulous fun day out for all the family.
