Supporter smashes fundraising target for The Horse Trust
As you may remember our amazing supporter Susan Smith braved a 237 mile bike ride in September to raise money for all our residents here at The Horse Trust.
Susan noted: ‘I will be driven on by all the stories, good and bad, happy and sad, for the hard working retired horses and the rescued residents at The Horse Trust.’
Well she certainly was in sixth gear, as she smashed her fundraising target of £700 and raised an impressive total of £889.50 for The Horse Trust.
Susan kept us updated through her fundraising journey, sending us pictures and updates.
Her final note read: ‘Well guys I made it. It was very hard going and I got a few bumps and bruises along the way but managed the challenge. Love to all from a tired bunny!’
We are so grateful for Susan’s marvellous effort and taking on such a gruelling bike ride in order to raise money for all our four legged friends here at HT.
This money will go towards the retirement needs of our working horses and our continuing care and treatment for rescued horses, ponies and donkeys that have been abused or neglected. To find out more about the work of The Horse Trust and how you can volunteer, please click here.
