Gabriel was born here at The Horse Trust. Gabriel’s dam, Eve was rescued from Binfield, near Reading, a case involving 30 abandoned horses.
Many of the horses abandoned were pregnant and suffering from a heavy worm burden. We were very concerned for Eve’s health when she arrived; she was underweight and riddled with small red worm.
Amazingly in May 2015, Eve gave birth to Gabriel. He was born in the afternoon sunshine, a touch earlier than expected but big and strong and was up on his feet in an amazing 15 minutes.
Gabriel was named in honour of our beloved little Angel who lost her fight for life at only six months old.
At the age of 5 years old, Gabriel is now broken to harness just like his mum and has even started the process of being backed under saddle. He is available for rehoming and we are sure he will excel at anything he does in the future! Gabriel even competed at Equifest in 2019 where he really was the star of the show alongside Teddy.
